Rules:
Read your favorite winter book in myON.
Write a story based on the following prompt: If I could be a snowflake anywhere in the world, I would live in…
Prek-2: 25-30 words
Gr 3-5: 50-100 words
Gr 6-8 & Gr 9-12: 100+ words
Complete the form and upload your story. FORM
Winners will be selected in each grade range: PreK-2, Gr 3-5, Gr 6-8, and Gr 9-12Winners will be determined based on the following rubrics:
MOST MINUTES READ on myON and myON News
All students and community members reading 300 or more minutes OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL HOURS will be entered to win an Amazon Kindle, Gift Cards, and more! *Outside of school hours includes non-school days, weekends, before 7am, and after 3pm.
The top Elementary, Middle, and High School with the most minutes read will be awarded a large banner and other amazing prizes to honor their dedication to literacy.
To join the challenge, GISD students should log into their myON account using Ready Hub and GISD community members will log into their personal accounts at www.myon.com.
The time spent reading will automatically be tracked when readers open a book. Individual prizes will be based upon the total minutes read and school prizes will be based on the average minutes read per student.
